location of an international electrical switch gear manufacturer
took about 4 months of planning in order to proceed to construction.
The team consisted of key personnel from a division of Schneider
Electric, an architect and engineering firm, and myself, and
a hand picked MEP team.
We planned 25,000 sf
of office space for plant personnel, 120,000 sf of air conditioned
manufacturing with 4,000 amps of 480volt power distribution,
and 20,000 sf of regional sales offices. During the process,
various plans and pricing scenarios were addressed until the
satisfactory plan was agreed upon.
Through the construction
phase we had weekly meetings with all key personnel. The cost
was right at $3,250,000. The project was brought in on time
and within budget. |
